Service Management
LinePack is known to its customers as a capable service partner. From the moment a customer reaches out, no extra time is wasted as the service vehicle departs with the necessary spare parts.
“We have service expertise for the products and packaging lines we sell,” says CEO Sami Mäenpää.
“We have developed our service team’s skills over the years. Service work requires proficiency in English, willingness to travel, electrical skills, and certifications for the brands we represent.”
For customers, the importance of service is significant. During the purchasing phase, they want clear protocols for how they will be served and what the availability of spare parts is like. All of these details are documented in sales and service agreements, according to Sami Mäenpää.
Service needs to be planned in advance and scheduled so that annual maintenance does not disrupt the company’s production. With remote monitoring of service history and usage data, the importance of proactive maintenance has increased.
“We continually receive up-to-date information on production line disruptions and capacity changes. Based on this information, we can work with our customers to build appropriate service programs and schedule maintenance at just the right time,” Sami describes the benefits of remote monitoring.
Remote Monitoring
Technical Director Henri Ihalainen has actively been involved in developing LinePack Oy’s remote monitoring.
“Some packaging machines come with counters that allow us to monitor the machine’s volume. When the time comes, we receive notifications for preventive maintenance actions. We use software where the production machine can itself indicate the need for service and automatically request maintenance.”
“Customers can also make a service request themselves using a QR code.”
The QR code is available on machines supplied by LinePack. The fastest and easiest way to make a service request is to scan the QR code with a mobile phone and specify the type of service needed. The message goes directly to our service team, Henri explains about the remote monitoring service line.
